How To Action Your Ideas
Updated: Aug 27, 2019
Many of us have goals, dreams, aspirations and ideas that we never put into action. Funny enough, I was in a similar position a few years ago. I would think of new ideas each day and look at how they could add value to my life and those around me. Unfortunately most of the ideas that I came up with remained at that level, ideas, mere thoughts that were without action. At the time I could explain why all of my ideas would not work (excuses, excuses). I basically spent way too much time in my head and eventually lost the majority of the ideas that I came up with. If you have gone through a similar struggle then you know that it can be a roller coaster of emotions. Today's post will be quite short and it will focus on three simple ways that you can bring your ideas to life.
Before we go any further, I need you to understand, that you are good enough. Your business ideas etc. are brilliant and you can achieve great things once you believe that it is possible. The three ways that you can action your ideas are pretty simple and you've probably heard of them before.
Three ways to action your ideas
1. Whenever you come up with a new idea write it down.
2. Do some research.
3. Literally do it.
Simple right? I know, but it works, here's the breakdown.
-Writing down your ideas-
Ideas come and go pretty quickly! You will need to have pen and paper available so than you can keep tabs on the ideas that you get. Sure, you can probably type on the notepad on your phone but you might get distracted. Instagram, Twitter and Facebook are literally one tap away so I stick to old school methods. Get an idea book that you can take with you wherever you go. This will eliminate one of the major issues associated with your carrying out ideas, and that is forgetting them. Furthermore it is a great way of keeping your thoughts and life organized.
Do the research-
Whenever you come up with your brilliant ideas it is always good to do some online research. This will help you to find out about competitors in the market or the originality of the idea. Furthermore, your research will help you to identify how the idea can be implemented. The key to this step is to not doubt yourself. When I just started my blog I had a lot of fears about a lot of things. I was not sure if anyone would read my articles or if I was even cut out to run a blog but luckily I got over my fears. I did my own research (still doing research) and this gave me an extra boost of confidence to get going.
Just do it!
If you spend too much time thinking about it chances are you will not do it. To get your idea from thought to action, you must take a leap of faith. Remember this, the worst that can happen is that you learn something new from the situation. Your ideas cannot action themselves, they require your help at every step of the way. If you have a business idea or an idea that you think will benefit someone else do not keep it to yourself. It was placed on your heart for a reason so get going. Do what needs to be done and in no time you will be able to create something beautiful from all your ideas.
